Eibar needs to win at Castellón and Burgos to lose at home to Andorra to qualify for the promotion playoff to LaLiga EA Sports. Eibar's Beñat San José, who won 2-0 against Córdoba in the 41st round, still have options to dispute the promotion playoff, but they do not depend on themselves. Eibar has made an excellent second half of the season, passing from looking down at the bottom, to aspiring to rise to the top category again. Racing de Santander and Deportivo de La Coruña have already secured direct promotion. The promotion playoff will be played by the teams that finish the league in third, fourth, fifth and sixth place. Currently, Almería is third with 71 points; Málaga is fourth with 70 points; Las Palmas is fifth with 70 points; and Castellón is sixth with 69 points. Burgos is seventh with 69 points, and Eibar is eighth with 67 points. As a result, Eibar needs to win to have options to get among the top six. But they also need Andorra, which has nothing important to play in the last round of the league, to win against Burgos. If these two results occur, the Basque team will be among the four teams that will dispute the promotion playoff, in which a ticket to the First Division is at stake.
