Eibar appoints Jokin Aranbarri as coach for the 26/27 season

Eibar has appointed Jokin Aranbarri as its new coach for the 26/27 season. Aranbarri, 41, signed a one-year contract and will lead Eibar's project with Mikel Balenziaga joining his technical staff.

What happened?

Aranbarri was chosen over other continuist candidates familiar with the club. Previously, he worked between 2016 and 2024 in Eibar's youth academy before taking charge of Bilbao Athletic for the last two seasons.

Why is it important for Eibar?

Eibar still needs a new physical trainer after Gastón Lloveras left for Vallecas along with San José and Iban Fagoaga. The technical staff will follow Andoni Azkargorta's tactical line.
