The right-winger from Baños de la Encina lands at the Carlos Belmonte after missing out on the promotion playoff with the Armero team. At 34 years old, Corpas has signed a season of notable performance, with 42 games played, eight goals, and seven assists, figures that confirm his weight in the team and his continuity as a decisive footballer in the category. Albacete Balompié and José Corpas join forces for the next two seasons. In the Manchego team, he will team up with former coach Alberto González and Pepe Sánchez, the central defender from Linares, with whom he will share the locker room in this new stage. Formed in Linares, Corpas went on to play for Marbella FC and UD Almería before consolidating himself as a reliable, consistent, and experienced winger in professional football. Albacete, known as the “Queso Mecánico”, will be his fifth club, in a new challenge where he will bring experience and depth to the attack. The Bañusco ended his relationship with the mining club in June 2017, after achieving several sporting successes, including several promotions, including to Segunda B, and three cups, two of the Subdelegado and one of the Diputación. In total, he wore the blue jersey more than 290 official games and scored 72 goals, making him the top scorer of the club in recent times.
