SD Eibar Fundazioa has opened registration for the SD Eibar Futbol Eskola for the 2026/27 season. Enrollment for the youth football program closes on September 3, with activities set to begin on the 14th of the same month.
The club's foundation stated the project continues to grow to offer a more comprehensive experience. "SD Eibar Fundazioa has opened the registration period for the SD Eibar Futbol Eskola for the 2026/27 season, a project that continues to grow and evolve with the aim of offering boys and girls an increasingly complete sporting and educational experience," it said.
The program is aimed at boys born in 2016, 2017, and 2018, and girls born between 2015 and 2018. Places are limited by year of birth and will be allocated via a lottery if demand exceeds availability. Current participants have priority for re-registration, as do children registered as residents in the town of Eibar.
Training sessions will be held twice a week for all groups. Those born in 2016 will train on Tuesdays from 17:15 to 18:30 and Thursdays from 18:30 to 19:45. The 2017 group's schedule is Mondays from 18:30 to 19:45 and Wednesdays from 17:15 to 18:30. The 2018 group trains on Mondays from 17:15 to 18:30 and Wednesdays from 18:30 to 19:45. The female group (2015-2018) is scheduled for Tuesdays from 18:30 to 19:45 and Thursdays from 17:15 to 18:30.
The initiative emphasizes educational development alongside football training. The news comes at a time of strong momentum for the senior side, which sits second in the Segunda División table with 15 points from six games. The team is on a five-match winning streak, most recently a 1-2 victory at Eldense, and next faces fifth-placed Las Palmas at home on September 27.
