SD Eibar has highlighted the work of its Foundation and the successful path of its Eibar PC team, the current champion of the National Fútbol 7 PC League, on Tuesday, World Cerebral Palsy Day. The Basque club, which leads the Segunda División with 21 points, reaffirms its social commitment to integration and equal opportunities. The first team, preparing to visit Oviedo this weekend, goes into that match with five consecutive wins, a streak that shows the positive sporting moment the club is experiencing.

Eibar PC became national champion last May in the final phase held in Salou, securing its third league title and the second in a row. This team is the competitive flagship of the cerebral palsy and acquired brain injury football section managed by the SD Eibar Fundazioa. Six of its players have been called up by the Spanish national team for the IFCPF World Cup to be held in the United States from 14 to 25 October: Borja Pombo, Martín Ruiz, Víctor Varea, Daniel Ibarra, Yerik Martínez and Sergio Rueda.

The club explained the importance of this project. "Today, 6 October, World Cerebral Palsy Day, SD Eibar values the work carried out through the SD Eibar Fundazioa so that football is also a space for inclusion and equal opportunities," the club said in a statement.

This area is complemented by the club's participation in LaLiga's Liga Genuine, a competition for players with intellectual disabilities, and is supported by Grupo Eibar. SD Eibar is one of the few professional clubs with a specific PC football section and has been organising National League matchdays at the Anexo de Ipurua for years, serving as a fundamental pillar in its structure.

While the first team is on a five-game winning streak and prepares to visit Oviedo this weekend, the club underlines that these values are essential to its social project. Fans can check the team's full schedule on our fixtures page and the updated league table on standings.
